On Nov 24th, the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Investment,trade and TourismPromotionCenters of  Can Tho, Lam Dong and Kien Giang held a Conference on "Tourism Cooperation between Can Tho, Lam Dong and Kien Giang" in Can Tho city, which aims to create favourable conditions to promote mutual understanding, business agreements, linking tourist routes.

Tea festival will take place in Dec 2010, in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province introducing picnic, sports and eco-tourism tours in Da Lat city. Meanwhile the coastal province of Kien Giang introduces Phu Quoc, Ha Tien tours and some famous spots such as Nam Pho, Thach Dong, Phu Tu islet, Tranh stream and Tre Islet. And the delta city of Can Tho also promotes  tours visiting  the floating markets of Cai Rang, Phong Dien, Ninh Kieu ferry, Binh Thuy ancient house and My Khanh, Phu Sa famous eco-tourism sites as well as Can Tho Bridge.
 
In Can Tho, on Nov 24th, Lam Dong province aslo held a gala night "A Dalat night in Can Tho" to promote Lam Dong's tourism potentiality and cultural characterictics to the Mekong Delta's people through art performances, Gongs festival, and exhibition popularising famous tourist sites of Lam Dong, namely Valley of Love, Than Tho Lake, Pongour and Prenn Waterfalls.
 
Mr. Le Van Men, Vice director of Can Tho's Investment,Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, said tourism development cooperation of Can Tho, Kien Giang and Lam Dong is a common trend, which purposes to develop sustainable tourism, to promote and fully exploit local tourism potentialities, offering diversified and acttrative tourist products to travellers.
 
Tourism cooperation will help each individual locality to take advantage of partners' resources, infracstructure, facilities, techniques...to develop its tourism industry, said Men.
 
After the conference, these provinces will cooperate to link tours from Kien Giang to Can Tho and Lam Dong, drawing domestic and overseas visitors.
